How this calculator works

Most online "YouTube earnings calculators" pump out a single number from a vague global CPM. That hides the volatility that actually matters. Our formula combines five honest factors — niche CPM band, country, format, YouTube's 55% revenue share, and ad fill rate — and surfaces the math so you can audit every multiplier.

Niche CPM band

Finance / B2B: $12–26. Gaming / lifestyle: $4–9. Entertainment / vlogs: $1.20–3.50. Within each band, the calc shows low/mid/high so you can plan around the spread.

Country multiplier

US / UK / CA / AU = 1.0×. Western Europe = 0.7×. Latin America = 0.35×. India / SE Asia / Africa = 0.25×. Same view count, different ad-bid economics.

Format multiplier

Long-form = 1.0×. Shorts = 0.07× (because Shorts use a flat ad-pool model that pays creators ~5-8% of equivalent long-form RPM).

Effective RPM

What you actually pocket per 1000 views = CPM × 55% (YouTube split) × 60% (ad fill rate) × country × format. Surface this in the breakdown to sanity-check the result.
